Tom Akiva

Senior Manager, Development, Demonstration, and Replication

Tom Akiva is involved in supporting and enhancing all aspects of Weikart Center program improvement initiatives. This involves product development, research, and custom adaptation of Weikart Center products to client contexts. Tom is the author of many Weikart Center training workshops and their guidebooks. He has been on the development team for the Youth Program Quality Assessment since its initial conception. Tom has supported numerous state, county, and city initiatives to assess and improve the quality of youth programs.

In addition to his role at the Weikart Center, Tom is a doctoral candidate in the Combined Program of Education and Psychology at the University of Michigan. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife and three daughters.
