Leah Wallace
Research Assistant
Leah Wallace is the Program Assistant for Field Services at the Weikart Center. She provides training and technical assistance to the Center’s clients around the country.
Leah comes to the Weikart Center from buildOn, where she ran the Michigan Lead Team, an intense, year-long mentoring program for youth in Detroit. During her three years with buildOn, she created partnerships with local community organizations and businesses to provide internship and community service opportunities for under-served youth. She previously worked as a volunteer at the Ferguson Academy for Young Women, a Detroit Public School that engages pregnant students and young mothers in experiential learning.
Leah received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.
