Kim Phillips-Knope

Kim Phillips-Knope is a professional trainer, program designer, researcher & evaluator.  She has over ten years experience working with young people, as an educator in both traditional and non-traditional classrooms, within community-based organizations, and as an athletics coach.  As a consultant for state and local governments, Ms. Phillips-Knope has facilitated workshops for and collaborated with schools throughout the United States, supporting their efforts to create safer learning environments for all students, including those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning.  She has co-edited two resource guides and has developed materials and curriculum for organizations across the country.  Ms. Phillips-Knope has been a certified secondary education teacher in the state of Michigan and received both her Bachelor of Arts in English and Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.
