Joe Beasley

Senior Program Associate, Techincal Assistance and Coaching Support Services

Joe provides coaching and consulting services to the Weikart Center’s clientele, including Michigan’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC), as a coach for the center’s Technical Assistance and Coaching Support Systems initiative (TACSS).

Joe has a passion for the outdoors and lifelong learning, and has built his career on coaching and professional development.

A 1987 graduate of Michigan State University, Joe has a broad background in planning, accountancy and education. He has taught in PreK-12 schools and universities, has experience in curriculum development and auditing, and has developed and managed degree-level courses as well as programs in initial teacher training. Research has taken him to Finland to study the learning of languages and its impact on self-esteem.

He comes to the Weikart Center from the Char-Em Intermediate School District in Michigan, where he managed a successful 21st CCLC middle school program.
